IM med sub I this last week has been albeit a mixed bag. Let me list out the pros and cons that I have encountered.
Pros
-Clean, nice appearing facilites
-Efficient ancillary staff-social work & nurses
-Good resident who teaches
-alot of autonomy to make an A/P
-Free access to Dr.'s lounge for food
-Austin-lots of good eats
Cons
-Not enough volume of pts
-250 beds
-FMG residents
-IM resident who told me off b/c I made too much noise in the ER by printing a 100pg Uptodate Article on my pt.
-must wear dress clothes even though its a county hospital.

I love the pros & cons list. It looks like the only real pro is location - Austin. I'm guessing that this won't be your top choice.
